Through the study of diverse places, people and environments, pupils develop a strong understanding of both the physical and human features of our world. Children learn to think like geographers by developing key skills such as locating places, describing and comparing environments, using maps, and gathering and interpreting data through fieldwork.
We encourage pupils to explore geographical questions, make connections between places and understand how people and environments interact. By developing knowledge, enquiry skills and global awareness, we prepare children to be informed, responsible citizens who can understand and contribute to an ever-changing world.
