Through a broad range of musical styles and experiences, pupils develop their understanding of rhythm, pitch, notation and composition while learning to appreciate music from different genres and cultures.
Our curriculum follows a clear sequence where children learn new musical vocabulary, listen to and appraise music, explore instruments and notation, create and perform their own music, and reflect on their learning.
We aim to ensure all pupils have the opportunity to develop as confident musicians, building creativity, self-expression and a lifelong appreciation of music.
