Religious Education

At Sir Edmund Hillary Academy, we want children to develop an understanding of different religions, beliefs and cultures, helping them to make sense of the diverse world around them.

Through the study of Christianity, Islam, Judaism and Hinduism, pupils learn about what people believe, how faith influences their lives and why religion is important to many people. Lessons encourage children to explore beliefs, learn how people express their faith and answer big questions about religion and life.

We promote respect, understanding and appreciation of different viewpoints, helping pupils to become thoughtful, tolerant and respectful members of modern Britain.
