Science

At Sir Edmund Hillary Academy, we aim to inspire curiosity and develop a lifelong love of science.

Pupils gain a secure understanding of the world around them and learn how science influences everyday life. Our curriculum develops both scientific knowledge and the skills needed to work scientifically through questioning, observing, investigating, classifying, analysing results and drawing conclusions.

Children are encouraged to think critically, make predictions and use evidence to explain their ideas. By building scientific knowledge and enquiry skills progressively across the school, we enable pupils to become confident, curious learners who can understand and explore the world around them.
