PSHE

At Sir Edmund Hillary Academy, we believe that PSHE plays a vital role in helping children develop the knowledge, skills and confidence they need to lead happy, healthy and successful lives.

Through our carefully planned curriculum, pupils learn how to look after their physical and mental wellbeing, build positive relationships, stay safe both online and offline, and understand their role within a diverse and changing world. Children are encouraged to think about real-life scenarios, make informed decisions, solve problems and show kindness, respect and resilience.

We teach the importance of fairness, respect and responsibility through the British Values and help children appreciate and value differences between people. By developing these essential life skills, we prepare our pupils to become confident, respectful and responsible citizens who are ready for the opportunities and challenges of the future.
